DESCRIPTION: The Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde are planning to construct a new ±15,000 to 20,000 sq. foot recreation center on a vacant parcel east of SW Grand Ronde Road, north of Tyee Road. The building is expected to be a pre-engineered metal building supported on spread footings with a slab-on-grade floor. The project is expected to include pavements, a running track, a playground, a skate park, splash pad and a new building.

SERVICE:  Foundation Engineering, Inc. completed a geotechnical investigation, laboratory and field testing, and completion of a technical memorandum. The memorandum summarized our findings and included a description of our work, a discussion of site conditions, the test pit logs, and laboratory test results.

We also provided an allowable bearing pressure, lateral resistance, coefficient of sliding frictions, estimated groundwater level, and other appropriate parameters for the design and construction of the new foundations and building pads.
