DESCRIPTION:  Lincoln County is planning several improvements to their existing property in Newport, Oregon. The site was previously referred to as the fairgrounds and is currently designated as the Lincoln County Commons. The improvements are expected to include:

•  Renovations of the existing 5,000 SF 4H Barn

•  A new 4,000 SF Storage Facility

•  A new 6,000 SF Demonstration Barn

•  New restrooms and a green area

•  A new 4,000 SF Floral and Landscape Building

•  A new 30,000 SF Exhibit and Event Hall

•  Renovation to the existing 40,000 SF Rodeo Arena (including adding cover)

SERVICE:  Our scope of work included exploratory drilling, laboratory testing, geotechnical analyses, an engineering report, and a site-specific seismic hazard study. The report included a description of our work, a summary of the site conditions, the boring logs, and laboratory test results. A discussion of the geotechnical considerations for the project and recommendations for site preparation and foundation design and construction was included. A site-specific seismic hazard study was also provided.
