DESCRIPTION: 

OSU Housing and Dining constructed a ±90,000 sq. foot, five-story student resident complex. The project totals 3.51 acres and involves a green space area noted from the 1800’s. The new student residence includes approximately 221 beds in studio and apartment formats as well as open spaces, parking and bike facilities. The L-shaped building is a scaled down version from the previous two-building proposition.

SERVICE:  Our scope of work included exploratory drilling, laboratory testing, engineering analysis and a geotechnical report that included a site-specific seismic hazard study. Foundation Engineering, Inc. also provided construction phase observations for preparation of the building pad, shallow foundations, and paved parking areas. The building opened to residents in the fall of 2024.
