DESCRIPTION: 

A new residential building is planned for the downtown Corvallis area. The structure will have 7-stories with 75 hotel rooms, 92 residential units, and restaurants, and include a 2-to-3 story above-grade parking structure.

The building is modeled after several others, including one that has already been built in Eugene, Oregon. The owners are looking to boost the Corvallis housing market and provide social spaces along the Corvallis riverfront, inviting a place for more connection. The city of Corvallis is looking forward to the new development as a way to address the housing shortage, encourage downtown vitalization and provide short term lodging for folks needing space, especially on game days for OSU and U of O. The Gordon is planned to finish construction in 2027.

SERVICE:  Our scope of work will include exploratory drilling, laboratory testing, and an engineering report. The report will include a description of our work, a discussion of site conditions, and recommendations for site preparation and foundation design and construction.

Highlight: The building will house not a hotel but residential units where residents can enjoy hotel-like amenities and services right at their doorstep. Residents will also be able to enjoy a club room, game area, outdoor terrace area with river views and a grilling station, fitness studio, pet wash station and resident parking.
